Welcome To The Weekend

A few of the many reasons I love living in east London.

Redchurch Street is one of my favourites, with fave spots such as The Albion- for delectable luncheon dining, The Owl & The Pussy Cat- for a good ol' pint with friends, Lounge Lover- for cocktails and sushi with amaze decor, The Aubin Cinema- the best place to watch a film in all the land, Allpress- for cool people and the best coffee, Shoreditch House- for, well what not for? swimming, bowling, eating, pampering in the Cowshed spa... Mason & Taylor-for the best beers bar Belgium, Franze & Evans- for coffee and cake to die for, plus the often but sporadic pop up galleries and exhibitions all down the street that makes it so brilliant.

The markets.
I just don't think I could ever get bored of the Columbia Road flower market, for just one day each week the street is filled with a sea-side-town-esq vibe with musicians and pop up eateries and coffee places that truly are some of the best in London. Sit of the kurb of the small cobbled streets and watch passers by with their flora purchases, people flock from far and wide just to get a slice of the atmosphere you get here on a Sunday.

Broadway Market takes some beating, probably the yummiest homemade food you will find; cheeses, fresh meat & veg, fishmongers, and baked goods all in one little stretch that ends in London Fields, perf'.

The Day Summer Came

You may or may not remember, but on the 30th of May, the sun actually shone.

Whether he had his hat on or not, I am not sure, but this much I know; it was Miss May's date of birth and I took the day off.

Instructions were to a) wear chic outfit
b) do ferosh things
and c) celebrate

As instructed we proceeded with the following (in no particular order)

drank wine, ate cake, attempted to ride bikes, went to the spa, enjoyed rooftop pimms, wore stick on jewels, danced, sang happy birthday accompanied by live piano, drove with the top down, wore floor length gowns in east london, got outofcontrol.

and I wore this
ANN DEMEULEMEESTER/SHOES & TOP
TOPSHOP BOUTIQUE/ DRESS & BAG
MONKI/ SUNGLASSES

thanks to May for May day and pictures.
